What's the best way to get my music from my iPod to a new Laptop?

The original laptop my iPod was synced to is no more so I only have the music on my iPod. I want to transfer it to my new Laptop.

Anyone know of either a method or software package that will do it?

I've never used it but i've heard that Anapod (linky) allows you to do that, along with letting you sync your ipod to your pc without itunes..

There's possibly something better, but it's the one i've heard of...

    I've been using http://www.ephpod.com/ .

It's an excellent site too with lots of extra tips and tricks about not only to move files, but how iTunes handles a music directory.

I will have a look at them all & see what's what.

Yep, I looked at them all but it seems to do just the tasks I needed with no complicated unnecessary bells and whistles, and, free too.

Do you know if the Ctrl + Shift key definitely stops the iPod from syncing with iTunes when you plug it in?? & does that key combination work for both XP & Vista?

The only source right now for all the music is the iPod so I don't want it to Sync before I copy or I'll lose some or all of it.
