Missing 105 year old

I was looking up missing people on the Garda website and saw that there is a lady listed as missing since 1979. She was 85 years old when she went missing which would make her 104/105 years old now.

I'd say the chances of her even being alive at this stage are pretty slim! I wonder if a case will be kept open forever if the person or a body is not found? Strange one..

    Edit: Mathfail!

Well, there's no cut-off point as such. They probably tend to just leave it, and not bother to change it

Is he on the Garda missing people site too?

I think you have to be missing for 7 years to be categorised as missing presumed dead.

  • Your maths is crap OP. I'm always oddly curious about those missing person cases. Whenever I see one of the posters I start wondering about what happened to them and all.

I don't know whats worse, Me not taking notice of the math fail or it taking me ages to figure out that 1979 + 20 = 1999 not 2009!

In the 1970's, I think, the Prime Minister of Australia went for swim at a quiet beach in Victoria and never was seen again. Australia is a strange country!

Did the Prime Minister train you to say that?
/you know where he is, don't you?
    :pac:
