No prizes for guessing where I took these. It's nice to have the sunshine but this mid-afternoon light is really, really boring.

    :( I would have won a price.

#1 is my favourite. I like the changes between light and shadow. And the composition itself.
#2 looks over processed to me. The green looks unreal.
    # 3 I like it too, even though there is not much colour. Or maybe because of that? But I think I would prefer a different crop with the deer not in the middle.

The shots are great, good use of the weekend.

The only thing i'd say is that I'm not a fan of people putting those borders on their images, I think it takes away from the images themselves. I'm sure its just for presentation on the web

but because there so good, I'll look beyond that...:)

Thanks, will try desaturate some yellows/greens in #2.
I've a few more deer shots, was having focusing issues though. There was another one just left of him, I might have a landscape orientation that captures both.

    1. Is great!

    2. I wish the sky wasn't so ... bland. But I realize that it is outside of your control. (I hope)

    3. I think xia said it best.

Looks like a fun weekend; well done!

#1 by a country mile, its a great shot. Like you said, no prizes for guessing where these were taken, everyone has Glendalough photos (me included) but #1 captures it a bit differently.
#2 does nothing for me personally and #3 is a nice capture but the main focal point (the deer) is too central.

I'll echo what was said above...number 1 is fantastic, the sky in number two turns me off it though
