Could be sensor error, there are connectors under the front seats, the block type which unclip. I read on another forum that unpluging and repluging can resolve the problem. Might be way off on this though, but its the cheapest way to find out.

    Hi
when your airbag light comes on it means that your air bag system is in safe mode (airbag will not deploy) in the unlikly event of an accedent. car is still road worthy, just keep in mind that your air bag is not working,

P.S. it is not only your dealer that can fix this but any GOOD Independant garage should be able to sort you out (cheeper than main dealer)

ye...sometimes people push in shopping/etc under the front seats and it can cause an airbag light to come on...happened on my 406...:(
As Hal1 said above check for a loose connections under the seats..
These are the seat belt pre tensioner connections and are all connected to the airbag light.
have a look here as its a good Peugeot site....:)
