Just tried getting the original Assos Chamois cream ( the cream coloured one ) online with no success, sold out everywhere. The only Assos cream available is the 'new an improved' blue one which is absolute crap by comparison.

I hear Assos are seriously considering bringing back the original formulation next winter but thats a looooong time away. Anybody seen any in their LBS or know anywhere online with the old stuff ?

Hmmm must give it a go, especially seeing as you've just done some pretty exhausting testing. so it cant be crap if you're still endorsing it. :)

Sure,it makes your cadence fairly high when such encounters happen, also you don't get to do a lot of up and overs.

Oh really -- you are obviously a bit soft. Hard men use a mixture of Nails and Thumb tacks.

the original stuff is long gone. Cyclesuperstore, cycleways and all the rest only stock the crappy blue stuff. None of the nice properties of the old stuff.

Sucks donkey balls. ( and doesn't help mine at all )
