    Ah yes, 32p for a can and 50p for a Supercan. :)

I'm not sure what a can or bottle costs these days, not having bought any in ages

I think I still have some empty supercans in my attic, had a collection of different cans when I was a kid. Used to love the lilt ones ice cold.

I don't remember them, I'm surprised 'cos I usually remember everything:). Late 80's cans of Smak were lovely, the pineapple one was my favourite.

    Yep I remember supercans.

What was funny was they are normal around where I lived
but about a half-mile away up at the nearest village to
where I lived they did not know what the heck a super can was.

As time went on I once heard a buddy from the village
boost that the villige "even has super cans now"

Cool, havent thought of them in ages. I used to drink one of those while going around the Super Crazy prices in Janelle in Finglas and got caught one day by the security guard while hiding the can behind a giant box of Daz.

    aaah, good times. :D

I remember when the "stay on" ring pulls came out, only one newsagent near me had them on cans of pepsi, we used to buy them just for the ring pulls, sounded much better than the old ones.

Far better than the contour bottles.

Thing is they still make supercans - maybe not in Ireland but elsewhere (I got one in Budapest a few years ago). Given plastic bottles produce far worse-tasting coke, why the switch away from cans? Yes, obviously the bottle allows you to save more but the coke in it tastes much worse and it never gets nearly as chilled.
