    Hi everyone,

    Longtime lurker first time poster.... really need some sound advice...

    Started college (mature student 28) last Sept and just finished my exams. I am totally in lust (at the moment) with one of my teachers.. he doesnt seem too much older then me, we have great chats and a "comfortable" enough rapport to have a bit of "banter" back and forth and a bit of a laugh. My friend in college thinks he enjoys having the banter too, he actually goes out of his way to strike up a conversation with me and hangs back after his class to talk to me even if its just to ask how I'm getting on with the course. I'm obviously unsure if he finds me attractive or whatever and I dont think he has a girlfriend, but I keep feeling like I should ask him out, I just dont know if its a no-no.. I've another year to go on the course, I would get over it if he said no, just wondering if its a good idea or not? If I should WHEN should I? before the week is out for end of year? or wait til course if over completely????

    I cant stop thinking about him, its like I have a feeling I'm meant to be with him for some reason.. I know it sounds childish, maybe its just a crush I dont know. I've not felt like this about anyone I think of him as more than just "HOT"... Ahhhhhhh I feel silly even typing this but need to get this out of my head and talk to "someone"!!!!

    i would advise steering clear until you are completely finished the course and not involved in any teacher/student relationship with him.

    Getting involved with a teacher, even if you are both mature adults, is a complete no-no. It will compromise him and will compromise you. Wait til the course is over then ask him out.

    Think how awkward it would be if you get involved, then split up a few months later.
    Wait till your studies are finished.
