Eoin Morgan in the England team for the 2nd ODI v WI at Bristol.

I'm glad to see it, at least he won't be carrying drinks for them all summer by the look of it.

    WI 37-2 after 8 overs.

He probably won't be required to bat at this rate though.

WI having their usual mid-innings collapse.

Well he's in for a few balls at least. Maybe he'll hit the winnings runs.

WTF are england doing playing him at 7? i'd say he hasn't played that low down since he was 12, very odd decision and would really make you question their motives in picking him.

They didnt plan to play him at 7 they promoted Dimi the slogger ahead of him as they were in 20/20 mode with all the wickets they had in hand going into the last 10 overs.

I see no problems with this at all the guy smashed 30 in an over last summer and can be totally destructive. You have to adapt to the situation and they ended up with the best ever ODI score made at the ground so you cant argue with the decision. And anyway he only lasted 1 ball so its not like it took too much time out of his innings lol :D

To even contemplate that the ECB gives a second thought to the needs of Irish cricket when selecting their teams and batting order is crediting them with an overview of the international game that they do not posess.

Couldn't agree more - they don't give a toss about us or anyone else. They pick eligible players, see if they're up to it & discard them if not, without worrying whether it'll screw up other countries or mess with a player's career/head/prospects.

Moggy might go all the way, or he might do the same as Ed Joyce and hit a form slump just as his chance arrives. Only time will tell. Right now, I hope he goes all the way as he's lost to us for at minimum 4 years.
