Was wondering what is the discount off an adult ticket if you show your student card and is it a specific day or all week?

    Thanks

I think at the cinema ticket is €9.60 and when I produce my student card I get it for €7.50, but depends where you go.

    9.60!!!?

Might has well go buy the DVD. It'd be more worth it to get locked on a naggin of JD with that money.

Student cards are pretty useless :P Bus Eireann doesn't accept them but Dublin Bus does. Yeah, that'd be great if I lived in Dublin.

    Waste of 12 euro.

Eh Bus Eireann does accept them.

There's a set price on cinema tickets for students too. It changes depending on where you go though.

From what i've seen it usually only takes effect if you buy tickets from a station, and not when paying a driver yourself.

Student ticket price for UGC in Dublin is e6.80 or so, when regular price is about e8. Not too sure on the prices off hand...

    Quoting from the above website:

"Special Student Fares are available to qualifying students on Single, Return, 10-Journey and Commuter Tickets on all our main services."

Yeah, the ISIC card is pretty useless for anything other than cinema. I bought one so I could use the Dublin Bus Student Monthly Rambler ticket only to find out from a very nice Inspector that I had the wrong ticket.

    Total waste of money! :(

You just need your regular college ID to get a discount at UCG cinema on Parnell Street, Dublin and it's valid all week. Which is great.

cineworld is €8 with the card, down from 10 for the adult ticket. I think its available all day and at weekends. Its still a ridiculous price but its such a big cinema that i end up there a lot
