Pufferbellies
this will be ur meca! every wednesday nyt is Irish nyt (at least it was last year) , thursda russian nyt, friday hip hop/ shoot out nyt.
Its located beside hyannis bus station. actual building is **** but serious crac! if ur under 21 they mark 2 big x's on ur hands on da way in so u can't buy drink at bar therefore get hammered before going. note the DJ idea of Irish pop music is aslan,westlife and blizzards but da shyt music is half the fun.

Package store: main offie / "lick-ur" store
they got bulmers/magners
CVS (pharmacy/"grocery" store)= rubbers and junk food
(note theres a curfew from 1 to 2 am jus means all premises/stores hav to close from 1 to 2. you'll be still trying to navigate ur way from pufferbellies car park from 1 to 2 so don't worry bout it.)

McGees Icecream: really gud deli an icecream also got internet
Kian and Rylees: there burgers an chips/fries are class
BBC (british beer company) good dinners
perrys its a breakfast bar its really nice food open 7am to 3pm
perry's coffee is remedy for puffers hangover (boston medical journal 1901)

finally a few general tips
Police aren't like garda they have a bigger grudge against humanity. u can't talk **** to them like ya would gardas at home. + they got guns mo fo!

get a bike as soon as u get there its da easiest way gettin around. ya can buy a new one in Kmart for $90 or myt get 2nd hand for $50

also get SSN asap coz alotta places won't even listen to ya if u aint got it.

check classifieds in cape cod times every day for jobs

where's the best place in hyannis to go looking for a house? centerville looks good, near the beach and the town 4 jobs.

tbh i never really explored centerville but i heard the beaches are unreal. I looked for work in hyannis and west yarmouth mainly. about accom theres plenty of hostels although they don't like housin J1ers long term. i know people stayed here for a while http://www.hyannistravelinn.com/
they were renovating at the time so was cheaper than usual not sure what rates r now. sea st is very popular for j1ers. my advice when renting a place is don't tell them how many of ye wil b livin ther as they'll charge rent according to no of people not the actual place. a bit of common sense required here but if theres 5 of ye tell them theres only 4 stayin. don't meet landload all together maybe one or two of group meet. if they can't identify who suppose to be there it will be harder to know if there extra people livin there. also most places want a months rent in advance and a months rent for security.

with regards jobs
for girls waitressing or house keeping is the way 2 go. imo girls get work easier
for lads landscaping is a big thing over there. work is really hard esp in the heat over there but pay is supposed to be good.
mall is good place to look, clothes shops like holister and A&F always take people on. pay is shyt but get good discounts. i don't know if its still there but stay da hell clear of environment massachusetts.
i ended up as jnr chef in restaurant an no i hadn't any experience. its like this u hav to bull**** ur way into jobs if they ask can u do a certain job say yes regardless if u can or not.(i was supposed to be cleaning the garage) worst case scenario they fire ya. also if they ask how long ur stayin till say after 1st sept (labour day) with exception some places hold some of ur wages to stop u bailing out early.
