It's good but expect a real shortage of free phones I would imagine.

its a good deal but when you get a new phone dont you usually get around 50 or 60 worth of credit anyway? SO instead of getting free credit with your phone this offere is just the reverse of that? free phone with credit?

If you used this offer to upgrade - could you keep your price plan?

New phone price plans offering calls at 25-29c per mitute are expensive.

I think its €70 credit, but that is installments, and that only is applied if you topup every month with €20. This is no strings attached credit.

So is it just a handset or do you get a sim card and new number with the new handset.

SIM cards are free anyway and you get some credit for registering the SIM online

If you want a new number you can get one. If you dont want one and want to keep an excisting number you can do so.

I'd suggest anyone availing of this offer switch immediately to the O2 Prepay Flat Rate Plan for all calls at 20c per minute. The rates are far cheaper than Experience plan, although there's no special offers or freebies. Call O2 customer care on 1747 or fill out this online form to request the switch: http://www.o2online.ie/wps/wcm/connect/O2/Home/Help+and+Support/Contact+Us/Contact+Query+form.

Im guessing your referring to o2 freedom? Its an old plan you are not meant to be able to switch to it. Is it not 26cent per minute rather than 20cent?

No it's not the Freedom plan (although that was good while it lasted) it's a prepay plan they don't advertise much but is available. There was some talk about it being available only to some people. I just requested the switch to Prepay Flat Rate Plan from O2 Customer Service and I was switched straight away, no problem. See image attached.

Details of the terms and conditions of the plan on the O2 web site: http://www.o2online.ie/wps/wcm/connect/O2/About+O2/Terms+and+Conditions/Other+services#20cFlatRate
