VRT audi :S

Lo peeps, I'm on the verge of getting a 05 audi frome england but the vrt calculator is very tough to use ( https://www.ros.ie/VRTEnquiryServlet/showCarCalculator ). Like some times it says 2.6 and sometimes it'll say 3.6 with me not changin any of the inputs, well not to my knowledge.

Can anyone give a definite answer to how i'd pay through vrt for a 05 a4.

Your going to need to give us more details on the car. Petrol/Diesel? Engine size? Spec? Millage? Date registered?

Ah lovely cheers mate, right 1.9 / 2.00 diesel. There's a few i'm looking at all between 6,250 and 7750 sterling, Miles will be for the sake of argument 70k - 100k. registered 2005 ( month unsure)

And that poses another question i read on these boards that bmw mileage isnt over important, it doesnt have as much affect on it as it would other cars, is that the same for the audi?

based on teh amout of money you want to spend lets say £7k sterling at current rates thats just shy of €8000 euro plus €3800 for VRt and say €300 travel and expense to pick it up...
thats a rough total of €12100....

you could a reasonable one over here for that price..

And in regards to miles? Do audi's feel the wear or would they be like beamers and shrug it off

vcacarfueldata.co.uk has the 2005 A4 1.9 listed as 157g co2 and the 2.0tdi at 158g co2. This would put them both into the 24% vrt bracket. Best thing is to check the actual registration document of the car you are buying to get the correct emissions figure.
The very latest 2.0 tdi is getting into very low band co2 emissions but not 2005 models

Depends on the CO2 emissions (ad doesn't say, or what BHP)

so, if it's 154g - it's Eur 2880
and if it's 161g - it's Eur 3456

Total so, about 11600/12400 including flight/ferry etc.
