    Hi

I purchased a honda car (2003) imported by the Motors company in Dublin. Recently, I went to Honda showroom for some repairs in my car, but surprisingly, by searching the Chassis/engine sr. no., they found that Car manufactured in 1998. but, the car registraton is 2003.

Is it a scam? What can I do?

    Regards

    Chirl

Sometimes cars can lie around in distributors yards for years after they were first manufactured. I know the dealer I used to work in once sold a car to someone who traded in a like for like car and the car they traded in was actualy younger :pac:, yet the reg on the newly purchased car was obviously 2 years younger. Also a relation of mine brought a 1996 Toyota Previa back from England when they moved back here in 2003. For some reason he got a 03 plate on the car. Rightly he questioned it but the guy in the Revenue told him all was OK so thats the plate he put on the car. MAD .

Not same. It looks different. it's Honda Civic Ferio.

Sorry only re reading your query. Your car has been imported. this is not unusual to have a much earlier manufactured year on a mass produced car, too many made etc, and mostly cause what Saab Ed has said.
