Pc for €500?

    Is it possible to put together a good PC for 500 quid these days? Could it run the latest games at decent rates? Don't need a monitor btw.

    I just updated this thread on this very subject

    If you don't need a monitor or OS then a gaming-capable rig can easily be had for well under €500 :)

    Best value at the moment can be had for a little under or over €500 (under being E5200+HD4770, over being X3-720BE+HD4850) but if you're not into overclocking then E7400+HD4850 is about the best you can expect under €500

    EDIT: Talking about AM3, actually did an experiment and pulled off a Black Edition build (yes, and 4GB DDR3-1600, didn't cheap out that much!) for €504 inc. p&p. and stuck it on the same budget thread. Kinda under €500, if you ignore the shipping costs :D
