    Hello All,

As some of you probably know.. I'm attempting to get Irish Logic Users together.

The main focus of this at the moment is on Myspace.. but we now also have a Yahoo group set up & a blog on Blogs.ie

Anyway.. There is going to be a INFOCUS feature each month with a Logic User. The Interview for June is online now.

This month - Our 1st Feature - is with Kid Handsome - Otherwise known as jtsuited.

It went better than I could have expected - Jeff really gives a good account of himself & as always, its v.interesting to hear his views / Techniques & plans for the future.

Please take a minute to drop by & give it a read.

    http://www.myspace.com/logicuserslistireland

If you are using Logic, we would love it if you would join us. Also if anyone wants to help / get involved, please drop me a line.

We're not a closed order by any stretch of the imagination Guys!

If you want to join us just to keep track of what we're doing, then please feel free! It would be brilliant!! :D

AND Finally - Just in case you have not heard Jeff's Music yet..

    As if Man!

We recorded the interview via a 1960's Bluetooth adapter into Logic via the Apogee.

You just hit print & out it pops in .txt

    :D

yeah when I saw Luli I started to think, 'hold on, if there was an exotic lady called Luli interviewing me today, I think I would have noticed!'

You had the cold Man.. & she was a bit rough looking to be fair.

Most would have dismissed her as a seasoned Hack from the Farmers Journal.

She's only shaving once a month now with the Recession & Tax Levy.

    :D

Maybe you should talk to Tweeky ? ( Maybe I should have mentioned this to Tweeky before I mentioned it here?:o)

He's been using Logic since the Atari days (what was it called then?) and now uses it Logic as his main DAW with Digidesign TDM hardware.

A power user if ever there was one I'd say.

Tweeky is an occasional poster here and has been lashing out hits in quite a few genres since we both had a full head of hair.

He'd be equally as opinionated as me but much less vociferous :o

He's also the proud owner of an SSL AWS !

Also worth talking to Trackmix...qualified Logic instructor, so would be a great guy to get some pearls of wisdom from.

    He's not an artist but a producer/engineer.
I'll not identify him here as anonymity is his prerogative.

Drop him a PM if you're interested.

just an idea.when you ask the people there favourite tricks from logic would it be possible to have them video an example.theres plenty of screen capture software out there thatll do it.be nice to see exactly what there talking about.
i know its alot to ask someone on top of an interview but you never know, could be a nice little database for logic tips

    hope this is cool:

my myspace is really a bit of a joke at the moment with the lack of recent tracks (I swear to God, I am cursed with uploading to there), so here's loads of links to releases etc.

    On Juno

    on the tracktracker newsletter

the link to beatport is in my sig.

oh and here's a collaboration I just did with Al Keegan

    Soundcloud link

Would an interview with one of the guys who helped develop Logic be of interest to the group?

Hi....apologies for possibly diverting the thread a little - I'd considered a new thread for this question, but just on the topic of Certification....

I'm wondering about the Logic 101 Certification. I'm doing the exam in a few weeks, but not doing the course as I've had the course book for ages and been dipping in and out of it for various things.

I'm sure there's people on here who've either done the exam or have knowledge of it in some other way...so is there anything in particular I should be looking at, or looking out for on the day? To be honest, I'm happy enough that I can handle the questions in the book, but there probably more to it than that.

    Anyone got any pointers?

I have the book as well, but never did the course.

Trackmix is your man for an overview Mate.

Best of luck with it James!

    Just had a word -

Drop Rupert at myspace.com/logictoolbox a line. He's up for a chat.

He's a Logic AND ProTools Beta Tester, and Incredible Engineer (Live at Abbey Road), Session Trumpet and Keyboard. Talent to Burn + Lovely Guy.

He's also quite critical of Log8.

Hey ICN, you should try and nab the ninja (or David Earl if you like) for an interview for the myspace page or failing that Farout5150 (youtube) AKA Waterboy (Logic Pro Help)

Either one or both would be cool.

That's him, but it's all a big act. His videos are hilarious but he actually gives out some good information.

He's also not as big/famous as the Ninja and doesn't get as much traffic/requests for information. I have been in touch with him a few times through Youtube and he's a really sound guy.

He would be chuffed to do an interview for you I would imagine.

Yeah - There's a Guy on LogicProHelp who has a link to it in his Sig. Thats where I seen it.

    I wonder if thats him?

I think I've got the next 2/3 INFOCUS features covered - so that might be an idea!

Think I'll watch the Vids first! LOL

Make sure there are no young children or elderly relatives in the house when you are watching his videos:D

He'll never be accused of being politically correct.

    He's a very brilliant man !

Doubly of interest insofar as he's an expert in Logic and PT and as you mention Beta Tested both and isn't an employee of either. As impartial as info gets in my opinion.

He's taking me to Abbey Road in July too!
