    Hi,
looking to get a santa fe for the missus, maybe 05 or 06. only gone to a local dealer so far and he wasnt interested in a trade in. Have a 02 megane figji with about 90K on the clock for trade. not looking for a large amount for the megane, but are dealers even interested in that kind of car now?

Don't take it personally, dealers don't want trade ins unless they are very saleable, and there aren't many of them. A high mileage car will be even less attractive.

    Hi Guys,

I have no problem what so ever taking in and 02 Megane, i would not worrie about it being an 02, everything is worth something to Somebody, in my opinion i would rather be taking in the old stuff as it is obviously cheaper and in turn very quick to trade on. it would be more difficult for me to take in 07/08 stuff because i obviouslly have to invest more money into that type stuff, so ye 01/02/03/04/05/ stuff all day long. If someone came into me with an 05 Range Rover/X5/ high end stuff, thats pretty difficult too, i find the cars selling @ the minute are bread and butter car's 4/5-dr cars, with decent mileage priced from € 7,000 to € 13,000, cant get enough of them, 12/24 month warranty, peace of mind, i'm very Busy @ the minute :), even though the banks have closed and making up the rules as they go along, but thats another Thread for another Day, My Local Credit union are great, everyone coming in with there Bank Drafts, Hope this Helps, By the way i have an 05 Santa-Fe, PM me if you interesrted, take care.:)

am in process of trading in 05 scenic for 07 santa fe. there are deals to be had out there and garages that will trade - tho i was turned away from some when they heard that i wanted a trade-in or what i had to trade in. not sure if i can name any garages, but ive heard good reports about place in portlaoise tho dont think they have any in stock. also place in longford somewhere. main poiint is shop around.
