Another dole question

I left my job a few days ago i didnt get on with my manager and i hated it.
Im currently just like half the population now looking for a new job,
Im thinking about going to england or scotland to try and find a job as it might be easier.
My question is can i sign onto the dole now and go to a diffrent country to look for a job and tell the people in the social welfare office that im doing so and if i dont get one come back in about a month or twos time and continue to sign on,
As in not start off signing on from scratch?
I heard somewhere that i can go to a diffrent country and sign on for about a month or two is this correct?

I want to do this because i dont want to be stuck with no options left and being dependent on the dole to live on and unable to leave the country to try and find a job elsewhere because ill be stuck waiting for the dole afraid that if i leave and come back ill hve to wait another 12 weeks which i dont know if i could do?

I'm not too sure I understand exactly what you want to do?
You want to sign on here, ask them to keep your claim open for a month and go to the UK, and if you aren't back within the month to close your claim? And if you do come back your claim is still open?
Or do you want to sign on here, then go to the UK and transfer your claim over there, and if it doesn't work out, transfer your claim back again?

well if you dont show up for your signing day once a month (or is it once a week for new claims now) they will automatically stop payment

Someone told me you could go to a diffrent country in the european union for a bit while signing on before you get paid as long as you let them know and came back to continue signing on? Not sure how much time you get though?
    Is this not true?

Yes, you can emigrate to find work and they'll keep paying you for a few weeks after you've moved over.

If it's jobseeker's allowance, you probably won't even be processed within 8 weeks, so you won't even have had to sign on yet. (I wouldn't count on that, mind you...) Jobseeker's benefit is a shorter processing time.

    Whats the diffrence?
How many weeks will they pay you for?

There was a thread on here and I think 9 weeks was the information given.

But I don't know for sure. You'd have to ask the social welfare themselves.

As always, inquiring about a "what if" situation is the way to go.
