Thanks Pinkfeather. That question made me LOL, which doesn't happen all that much on boards.
I don't think wearing slippers makes you look rich; but when you see a person sporting a pair of slippers you can surmise that they have gone to a little bit of extra trouble with regards to their personal comfort.
This can leave you with the impression that they still have somewhat of an interest in life and so still have something left in the bank, spiritually.
I do not wear slippers. Perhaps i should.

Anyone I have seen in slippers are usually the sort of people I tend to avoid: loud, brash, cheap, always looking for a fight, eyeballs you for no reason, seems to have a twitch which could be due to psychotic reasons &/ or alcohol/ drugs...
You get the picture, you're thinking scummy council estate that could merit it's own Garda station because the squad car is there more so much. I'm thinking the same.
