    Hi there

I'm looking to book lunch on a boat on the Seine for an upcoming trip to Paris. I am just wondering if there are different boats and if so can anyone recommend one in particular....

    Thanks!

Bateaux Mouches do river cruises with meals and while I've never been on one for a meal (might just be evening meals though), they are good enough for the sightseeing cruises.

We went on a dinner cruise for a special occasion with Bateaux Parisiens

    http://www.bateauxparisiens.com/EN/boats-cruises-paris-seine-uk.html

and it was a night I'll remember for the rest of my life! Lovely food, luxurious ambience and Paris floating by while an opera singer sings live on board, what more could you ask for!! They seem to do lunches as well and, while it is a bit pricy, that includes wine and the meal was VERY good restaurant quality. An experience to remember!!

Thanks for the suggestions. They have, however, made my decision even harder! I'm sure both Bateaux Parisien and Bateaux Mouches are both good, but can anyone recommend which is better!

Bateaux Parisien have 3 options (€97/€135/€165) for price and Bateaux Moches have only one (€135). The €135 option is what I think I'd be looking at because I'd like to be able to sit near a window.

Can anyone please help me make my decision!

Yachts de Paris is the best dinner cruise you can get and have the best meal but are also a lot more expensive then the other 2 options (€200 per person).

Out of the other 2....well the generally opinion of most people I know who has taken them is that the food is poor as compared to any decent restaurant. If you want great food you generally won't find it on a boat.

In saying that, La Capitaine Fracasse is highly recommended by some on Tripadvisor and is pretty cheap to boot!

Actually, OP, lunch with Bateaux Parisien is either €53/€63 or €73, the other prices you mentioned are for dinner. Have to say, I was VERY pleasantly surprised with the standard of food and of the boat in general (e.g. fresh lilies in the loos!) and it looked much nicer/fancier than some of the other boats we saw, it might have been just the particular boat we were on tho'!

Best of luck anyway and enjoy!!
