My umbrella literally just fell apart today. I've had a couple of the freebies from drinks companys but they don't last, does anyone know of a brand or type that is worth buying, as seen as its becoming such an important piece of kit in our monsoon, I mean summer?

What is it you want to descend? Maybe you should consider a parachute rather than an umbrella.

I have a Taylor Made double layer umbrella. The gap in the middle of the two layers prevents it from blowing inside out in the wind. Cost about €40, but well worth it.

I had a nike one that had the same two layers (and also a thumb trigger to auto open which is super handy) but it would still blow inside out in high wind.

Often, especially in this country, you can get a 5 minute shower. If you stopped to put in your wetgear you would be soaked. You would also pass out with the heat. Instead, just open the brolly for 5 mins as you walk to your ball.

Put the brolly up if its a shower, if not just use the wetgear; thats what I do.
