    Hi,
I was just wondering if people could recommend the best non-dairy sources of calcium.

I've heard that green leafy vegetables contain healthy amounts of calcium. However I'm a little unsure of other good sources.

    Thanks.

This page lists quite a few vegan sources of calcium. http://www.soystache.com/calcium.htm .All foods are listed as calcium per 100g of the food listed. It seems there's alot of calcium in seasame seeds...I never knew that!
Tinned fish is a source of calcium also and some orange juices are fortified with calcium.
I've read that drinking soft drinks, particularly fizzy diet drinks can negatively impact on your calcium absorbtion. I'm not sure if that's absolutely true but it might be worth googling if you do drink them.

Fish with bones (salmon and sardines) are good. Also mussels and seaweed (or sea vegetables if you are being posh). Dark green leafy veg is great, especially kale. Also almonds and sesame seeds and tofu.

If you are boiling up bones for stock, add a couple of spoonfuls of vinegar to the water, it will allow more of the calcium from your beef or chicken bones to go into your stock.

Eileen, how does the vinegar affect the taste of the stock? i often make chicken stock, but wouldn't want to sacrifice the divine taste for more calcium...

you body cannot extract much calcium from dairy products

that is a great list, though quite hard to read through.
