I was in a strip club in limerick and i asked the barman where the fag machine was and he taught i said something else and proceeded to get a bouncer to fire me out!

I was pretty pissed off at the time but looking back it was a funny mistake he made. He must have been gay to say he got offended so badly at what he taught i said!

No he must not have been gay to be offended - a lot of people could find the term offensive.

Is there a point to this post though? Such as are people too sensitive to such terms?

Would you not be offended if someone called you a fag?

why is this topic in the "gay" forum?

I think Captain Skid mark thought that mistaking the colloquial expression 'fag', meaning cigarette, for the alternate abbreviation of fag-got (an archaic English unit applied to various-sized collections of sticks), was hilarious.

I suspect he thought his username was hilarious too. Lets laugh near him.

I did, you said "if i was gay and someone called me a fag i'd be pissed off" But by your reaction to my question i'll assume you would be pissed off if someone calls you a fag regardless of your sexuality. The truth is anyone would be annoyed by disparaging remarks made against them especially in a job like barman where they get more than their fare share of abuse so you assumption that he must've been gay in order to have been so insulted is redundant. You should be more careful in your choice of words perhaps.

....which is why I suggest this thread should either be locked or doesn't belong here. A gay forum isn't here to skit at words used to describe us. There are lots of people on here unhappy about their sexuality without others coming on to have a good laugh at them.

Might be worth trying the dole before a career in comedy. Thread locked.
