Anyone been called for a social welfare medical assessment?

I have one tomorrow and I'm really nervous about it. Are they really detailed or horrible???

Its a regular medical examination by a practising GP. He/she is employed by the Department- but they don't have any ulterior motives. My usual policy- is ask as many questions as you like- but don't volunteer anything- unless its specifically requested. Don't be nervous. The length of the exam really depends on what your claim entails. If you are purporting to have a disability- it would be examined as such- and supporting documentation may be requested from a consultant.

Don't get stressed out- its just another step in the process.

Remember- if you have any questions- don't be afraid to ask them.......
