I go 40E for the month option. Suits me as I hope to return to the sea for the summer.

You are limited to the public hours then so check that these suit you. I feel they are generous enough. The lessons are usually between 7 and 8 in the evening. If you want a lane to yourself (pure magic when you get one!) I suggest holding to later at night - maybe 9pm to 10pm - Thurs evening is usually good.

I have been going there about a year and half. Only on the real odd occasion were the lanes busy to the point where it was not possible to get some meaningful lengths in. As I say go late.

At 4.80euro a swim in the morning and at 5 in the evening I'd pop along a few times and judge for yourself. They also offer deals where you can buy 10 swims at a discounted price. I was there one morning a few backs at 8:00 and there was 6 lanes in operation, no lessons, and although it was busy enough I still got what I wanted from the swim. The lanes are all graded too which helps.

:pac: It is not always complied with!

I saw a guy there this week in the 'fast lane'. He was staring at the ceiling and moving 1cm at a time. I should have bombdived him. Or asked lifeguards to hook him out onto the edge.

That would be brilliant, I'd pay €5 entry to see that. :D

I think I might try before I buy alright.
8:00 seems like an odd time to open, especially if it is packed.
Most pools open at 5 or 6.
