    Hi,
    I'm thinking of heading to Marbella for a week or two in mid-late August. The hotels seem a little expensive online, circa €120 a night.

    Would anyone have any recommendations on apartment rentals or hotels?

    Budget for accomodation would be approx 500/600 for the two weeks.

    I'm open to staying in areas, Torreveija, Torremolinos, Benamadina.....perhaps Majorca would be a better bet?

    If renting an apartment/villa is something that you'd be interested in, have a look at ownersdirect.co.uk - you can get great deals if you stay for more than a week.

    Otherwise, there's a few threads over in Bargain Alerts atm with voucher codes for £10 off per night, if you can find something on hotels.co.uk. T'would bring down the cost by a significant amount overall, for 14 days.

    Marbella would be one of the more expensive areas in Malaga as well...maybe look a little further afield - although it depends on whether you're looking for nightlife or a getaway.

    Torremolinos is very nice and you can get good deals there. Beach is quite nice too and it's not very expensive to drink and eat. My drink for the holiday was the local beer and 2 Euro was the most I would have to pay for it but also some places did it for 1.50 :D

    Marbella is very expensive to say in and drinks and food is worse.
