Have you thought about Munich? Aer Lingus fly there direct from Dublin and Cork and there's loads to do. The beer gardens in June will be perfect - spending the afternoon under huge oak trees drinking delicious beer and eating pretzels - YUM. Get the train down to the Starnberger See lake for a day, visit the Andechs brewery whilst you're down there.

It's a really nice city and easy to get around. You're not as likely to meet huge crowds of stags there and beer gardens are just set up for big groups with massive tables and benches that you can all sit around.

The beer is quite cheap. Especially when compared to Dublin prices!

I had my stag in Germany (Gelsenkirchen/Dussledorf) and we had an absolute blast, took in a World Bowl game and even in the Arena auf Shalke we didn't get ripped off on the price of beer.

I haven't been there since I spent a Summer in 2006, so I couldn't say for sure how much beer costs. I was a poor student and still managed to drink lots of it though so it can't have been too expensive! I would guess that it's around €6 for a mass (1 litre). Of course it's dirt cheap to buy beer in a supermarket. Maybe someone who's been more recently can comment.

Was in Budapest at the weekend with a few lads. Dirt cheap for food, accommodation, drink, everything really. Also a beautiful city and good night-life.

Also I read on here that the people are ignorant but dont know where anyone got that from. Everyone we spoke to was friendly.

Try Hamburg. Plenty of cheap beer and the bonus of the reeperbahn!

How about Vegas? Flights can be quite cheap to head over and the hotels are so so cheap over there. Plus it's the most amazing place on earth!

Amsterdam is always the debauchery capital of the world. Prague is another good spot but there's a lot of sleaze and blokes ready to fool you out of your money so be wary. if you're looking for something different try Ljubljana (or however it's spelled) the capital of Slovenia

Hamburg FTW. The Reeperbahn is a great area to go out, loads of cheap pubs in a small area. Doesn't have the scumbags that you find around the RLD in amsterdam. Or the weed!
I'd go there for mine, but I was there before and don't to do the same as my mate.
Amsterdam is a good spot, but I think a stag night should be drinking, not smoking and the temptation of smoking is too much in the dam. Also, the RLD has too many scumbags hanging around

Where do you want to go OP?

Nobody every asked the groom that. The best man usually runs off with himself.

One or the other is ok, but mixing is bad. Also, as many people may not have tried it before, it's not a good idea, as some people don't react well.

OP: have you thought about Scotland? Edinburgh , or something? I've been told they love the Irish over there, and they love the drink. Scotland has a number of breweries, which would be fun to visit, and the price of drink is meant to be pretty good (although the wa*nkers are trying to rise it).

    Tony 136,
Try Warsaw. Iwas there for mine in Aug 07. Great spot. V cheap 5*Intercontinental Hotel €80pr/pn. Cheap Beer,,, 12 of us around a table in a Porterhouse style Pub. from 1 til 7pm ish Cost €18

    Good night time entertainment too.
and an afternoon shooting Glock Handguns.

From Dublin airport to Dublin Airport 48 hours cost about €400

Only downside was we should have gone for the 3 nights and the flight times were crap
The shooting was organised by a local beauty named Magda, who also arranged Transfers

    I suggest Warsaw

I can second that. Amazing City and so cheap you will feel bad coming home knowing that you spent so little!

We found the locals very ignorant.

Yeah I was in Hamburg and Berlin for stags recently. Both really good spots. Reeperbahn in Hamburg has everything you need for a stag weekend and its a really nice city too.

Berlin I would also highly recommend. Great bars (and especially great night clubs)...

and both cities have a very good pint price.... Can't go wrong with either to be honest.
