    Hi,

Can anyone please recommend a beach resort in Ireland that would suit 6 adults, 1 teen, and 2 children.

Any place other than Tramore. Been there too often.

    Thanks.

Kilkee in Co. Clare maybe. A lovely safe beach there. Diving, etc. also.

I would second Kilkee. Great Spot and within striking distance of Cliffs of Moher etc. Theres an indoor waterworld-type place for the wet days.

I would avoid Kilkee if I were you, can be rough at times and cleanliness of the establishments(not the beach mind) leaves alot to be desired.

Lahinch in Co. Clare is the place to be, lovely beach, lots of activities - surf lessons (kids & adults) and surf camps every week, seaworld and indoor pool, golf, pitch 'n putt, Cliffs of Moher 15 mins drive (about an hour from Kilkee by the way. Some lovely places to eat too.

Spanish Point is also a lovely spot but not as many activities and pretty much just the beach there.

Lahinch is nice too , but the beach there is not the safest for young children.

Myself and the family normally try West Cork for our holidays in Ireland,we have two small kids and they love the beaches around Clonakilty, and the surrounding area, also a bit further west is Barleycove Bay which is lovely ( on the way to Mizen Head) it ha s a clear sandy safe beach and is set in a lovely location.

Stayed at Sandycove Beach Villas outside Rosscarbery in West Cork last year , the kids loved it. It is across from Owenahincha Beach, the website is http://www.sandycovebeach.com

There was a pool table & table tennis table near the gate at a games room & a swing & slide for the smaller children in a corner out of the way we could see it from our kitchen window & patio area when they were over there.

The beauty of it was the nearest shop was a km up the road so they weren't all day looking for money etc.
