Don't know if it helps but I ordered gator skins from CRC (€18) and they were delived the following day. When I was in Cycle Super Store (Tallagh) 2 or so weeks a go they had them is stock at €25 each.

And I got a puncture in one the other day. Although I did ride through a bunch of glass earlier in the day and never bothered to brush the tyre down. I guess that didn't help.

Interesting, might just go with the armadillos so (and be a little bit more careful in the wet).

I did a bit of online research on this a few weeks ago and came to conclusion that Scwelbe Marathons are pretty good. Also, a friend of mine has Scwelbes (not Marathon) and says they are the best tyre he ever had. A couple of thousand miles and no punctures...

For Scwelbe maybe ring Penny Farthing? They were fitted as standard on Dawes a few years ago so maybe they sell them(?)

Cycleogical sell gatorskins for 25e. How long do types last you guys. Do less than 200k most weeks but my tyres are wrecked after 2 months... Mostly from glass
