Is it possible to reverse the controls on venetian blinds

The parents in law just got venetian blinds fitted and they all have the open /close control on the LH end.

In one case these controls are behind the TV/dvd/sat box unit which means that the TV unit is now out from the corner and all the cables are trailing.

Both of them are 80+ so it is very awkward and dangerous.

The supplier says it cannot be done, despite the fact that a man landed on the moon 40 years ago:)

    Any help much appreciated

Can be done but it is a messy job. It is a case of removing the tilt mechanism and looking at the hole it fits into.you need to make a similar hole on the opposite side and fit the mechanism assuming there is room for it and assuming the tilt bar in the headrail can slide over to accommodate new location of tilt mech.

On second thoughts a very messy job!

Yes it can be done but as Phoenix says it is a messy job. I have even put the controls in the center of venetian blinds. Biggest problem is that there are holes left where old controls were, also its fiddely and takes time which I never find customers willing to pay for

thanks guys: what happens if I just flip it around, I presume the tilt will still work and the up/ down could be left inside the blind.

Have not seen the actual blind yet, will see them tomorrow but loads of grief from the trouble and strife here even thought I had nought to do with the project:)
