If the summons came out then court is now the only option....Get a solicitor for the day. Dont go to court without one ;)

No way a Garda wants to stand up in court and be made look a fool in front of a judge, charging you with not producing when you did in fact produce your documents.

Go back to the station where you produced your documents, and talk to them. They will have a record, and can take care of it.

As the summons has been issued you will have to go to Court.

But meet the Garda beforehand with all your papers and explain everything.

Provided your insurance is in order the Garda will simply withdraw the matter and that will be end of it.

But you must meet the Garda before hand or else you will have to explain yourself to the Judge. TBH you wont need a solicitor to do this.

this happen to me before, ring the station and find out who the garda is that is dealing with your case.

arrange to talk to him and arrange to meet him on the morning of the court date outside and show him the insurance documents.

you will both then appear in front of the judge where the garda will ask for astrike out as the documents have been provided.

    thats what happened to me.

Yeeeaaahhh.....I know you are probably right but I'd always advise someone never to go to court without one.

Go back to the station and ask for a printout of the record they entered when you produced your licence / insurance. Bring that with you to court and all will be fine.
