Painting above the stairs

    I,m having reach problems for the area above the stairs. I have a step ladder and its too small and any other ladder is too big. Anyone got ideas to how i will reach ceiling on second floor directly above stairs .

    depending on what type of landing/bannisters u have, can u run two ladders horizontally side by side from the top of stairs, back across stairwell to the landing behind the bannisters.

    u can then put the step ladder on these once u board them out

    u wont have access up/down the stairs so bring the lunch with you:)

    else try a get a long pole and a roller

    I just managed to get there in the end. I put the step ladder (closed) from outside the banister to the adjacent wall leading up the stairs . got the job done but not very safe . legs were shaking .
