It depends on the warranty. You have a 1 year warranty but by european law you have 2. bring it up with where ever you bought it. Other than that you may want to try getting in touch with witnessmenow on this forum who seems to like fixing DS's or console repairs ireland.

If it's outside the warranty and you feel confident, you could try and open her up, look for loose connections.
There are several Youtube based resources on how to disassemble a DSlite.

I guess you just play them in reverse to put them back together!

Only attempt this if you have some experience of electronics and their ilk.

That said the screens are plugged in at different points on the DS main board so it could be something more serious.
There are some folk, I think they advertise in the Buy and Sell, who say they fix DS consoles, you could try there first.

You can email for an estimate, no strings attached. They only collect their post on a Saturday so the turnaround is about 10 days.

    Hey,

Send me a PM if your interested in getting it sorted.

I wouldn't be able to give you a price yet as I cant tell whats wrong with it by your symptoms. If I was to guess a ballpark price it would be €25-€35, but it depends on what hardware your ds needs.

If I get the DS off you I'd be able to give you a proper price, If you weren't happy with the price i can return free of charge.

Im based in Athlone, but will be in Galway till this evening if thats any good, I can do postage no problem.

    Let me know anyways,

    Cheers
