somebody took an old car and this to it:
Astra Red Top on 45 Dellorto carbs (181bhp), F20 Gearbox, new clutch, Vectra gsi front brakes, Polybushed, Avo coilovers, 15" Whey Kings Alloys, sr 130 mph clocks New Toyo Proxes, Cutom one off Powerflow exhaust, De-locked, remote alarm, seam welded, Harry Hockley chassis strenghtening kit, full bare metal respray, paint work is immaculate, underbody sealed and painted brown, over £15k sterling spent on this car.

And be all accounts s/he made a very good job of it, car looks nice and clean and loved. Respect!

    but, but, but ...

They did it to this ...a feckin booted Corsa, one of the ugliest cars ever built (and it's brown):

There's something wonderfully ironic about a car like this. also it's a lot more charming than a Nova hatchback.

Do they have all their receipts from Halfords?

In all fairness now, this is no Halfords tune-up

Crazy price on yellow plates but I kind of like the idea. Stick a set of sh1tty plastic hubcaps on it and you have a cracking sleeper! Nobody, even a petrolhead would expect a brown 1985 Corsa saloon to be packing 180bhp and quality handling mods.

Just not a car you'd proudly glance back at as you walk away after parking it.

I can see the appeal of something like this

nope ...she'd never, ever question you when you're about to spend yet another ridiculous amount of money on yet another ridiculous car ...she'd "get it"

    (at least that's the theory)

It's a damn sight more tasteful than the 309 in the other recent thread.

That's actually pretty cool looking. The brown adds to the character of the car.

    I couldn't spend 6k on it.

To answer your question, labour of love.

I tjink it pretty cool too with the Euro look.
Its rare to see a corsa/nova 2 dr in a good year

I like it. Lot of work gone into it and the colour adds to it imho.

Couple of locals to me love putting the 2l turbo into Novas.

It literally pulls them apart at the seems, busts front panels and subframes, but they are mental fast...for a short while!

That looks like a well prepared car and even the fact that it is a saloon isnt too bad. Its the colour that ruins it IMO
