    Hey all,

I've been seriously de-cluttering my wardrobe as I'm moving house in two weeks! Over the past few years I have accumulated loads of clothes!

I have about 4 bin bags worth of clothes for the charity shop, but I have a full bag of stuff that I think is too good for the charity shop or I was thinking of a clothes swap (I know I'm trying to get rid of stuff!). I have a couple of vintage pieces I will sell on ebay eventually but its a bit more work than I'd like!

I know there is a close swap in Shebeen in Dublin on saturdays but does anyone know any other place where I could sell/ swap my nicer clothes???

    Thanks in advance

Ok I think you are all taking me up wrong, I am giving 4 bags of good quality lightly worn clothes to charity shops. I have one bag of clothes that were quite expensive when I bought them but I just don't get the wear out of them to justify keeping them. I t would be nice, seeing as I don't have much money at the moment to sell them for a bit (not massive amounts of money) or at least swap them for clothes I would wear.

In fairness to the OP, I think she is trying to say that she can realise some moeny for these clothes.

BTW has anyone thought that some of the charity shops are charging riduculous amounts for some items?

I regularly give clothes away to charity, mainly due to the fact I move every few months and find it best to constantly de-clutter. I always use the same charity shop; Age Aware in Galway.

I've noticed that in a few recently actually, I've seen a good few Penneys items with the labels cut off going for more than they cost new!

i was in the same position a few weeks ago.. did a big wardrobe clearout and was suprised at the amount of clothes i owned with tags still on them.. knowing i just bought them all on a whim and i would never wear .. had them all bagged up to dontate to my local charity shop but thought i might aswell see if i had any luck trying to sell them on ebay...

Turns out ive made €80 on clothes so far that i had doubts anyone would ever want and i still have more to upload... nice handy money for stuff you were gona give away for free:p ... definatley try n sell some stuff on ebay first!!!

I've sold a few good quality items on eBay in the past (and will be doing so shortly again). It is possible to make a few quid - just remember to estimate postage correctly.

Noticed this lately too. and then some charity shops have a discount rail of stuff that is overpriced to begin with, won't sell and has a one quid tag on it! they should keep prices low on the majority and the stuff would fly

Hi, does anyone know of any clothes swapping websites in Ireland or UK that they would recommend from personal experience ? Any tips to avoid disappointment ?

    Thanks in advance...

Zombit thread! Locked. Shaz_69, start a new thread rather than dragging up one that's a year old.
