latency with midi keyboard

I have a midi keyboard and running it with Reason 4 on my Mac. I was learning a few tunes on friday and it was absolutely perfect. I took it out yesterday and ran in on the same settings and was getting serious latency. Some notes wouldn't be heard until your finger was well off the key. I put it away in the hope it would alright today but it isn't.
I checked the attack, delay and sustain on Reason and they are fine.
It's even worse when playing two or three notes.

Any body got any ideas what could be going on? It's wrecking my head!

    Thanks

Edit -> Preferences - > scroll for "Audio"

Make sure you have an Asio driver selected.

If yer using a USB midi thingy...

You can get "Asio4all" Its free to download. Should help out with the Latency. Just select that driver in Reason.

    Thank guys!
I'm going to try and get that Asio because adjusting the Latency o/p doesn't seem to be helping too much...

Edit: I googled for that Asio for mac and apparently mac doesn't need it because it uses core audio...

I would check your Asio Settings as stated above..in your control panel.. or Asio4all.. but I ain't too familiar with Macs so it could be summit else!
