    Hi everyone,

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but here it goes.

I've reached a crossroads in my life and I'm not sure which path to take. I'm 21, about to finish college this week and have a number of options, some say i'm lucky to have them but to me its a major worry, I haven't slept properly for the past weeks trying to figure what to do with my life.
    Here are my options:

    1) I could continue on in college, do a masters of some sort, but when it comes to making an appointment to see one of my lecturers about doing one, I have a slight panic attack and I can't think why I have these attacks. I do want to do some sort of masters but are these panic attacks a sign that I shouldn't ot that I'm not ready for such a commitment?

    2) The only job I have lined up is my part time one and that looks like its about to close too so I don't have securty there.

    3) I could go travelling but I'm not in the mindset for that yet, I am very much a home bird and I don't want to leave all my friends and family yet.

I just don't want my life to pass me by whilst I make a decision, I am not a person who takes a leap of faith, in fact most of my decisions are well thought out, too much sometimes that I miss out on opportunitys and I dont want this to happen.
It sound pretty trivial but I would appreciate any feedback from people.

The first one especially in the *current economic climate*, you can continue with the part time job and go travelling in a few years if you want.

no if you dont have the panic your probably not going to get enough out of the challenge, this is certainly not reason to not pursue the masters.

Go travelling. There's never been a better time to do so really.

I lived in San Fransisco for 2 years after finishing college, and like you, I was a home guy.

Travelling opened up doors for me and made me realise what it is that I want out of life.

And hey, if you don't like it, you're only a ticket away from coming home. And college will still be a prospect when you return =)

Your still very young, a yr out is no harm but get the masters if you can. i know people going back to college 30 and 40 and 50 and there was a guy in his 60's in my course last yr. no panic take your time you have your whole life ahead of you. apply for the masters to have the option there make up your mind after that.
