Redundancy - Contract

I was working for a company as a contractor for five years and then went permanent with them for the last two years.

They are making redundancies, and will be offering a package of 6 weeks salary
    per year of service.

Am I entitled to include the years as a contractor or just the two years I was permanent when calculating my entitlement?
Any help would be great - thanks.

if it was a fixed term contract then you may have a redundanacy entitlement for the 5 years but not if you were a subcontractor where you were billing the company for your services
