I just sat my first second year college exam there today... For the whole morning before the exam I did nothing but shake...I'm not the nervous type of person and exams never get to me in the slightest, I generally have a very cool head when it comes to exams!
I just don't know what happened me this morning, in the end up I took a couple shots of brandy to calm me down (not a good idea, I know but it helped!)

Background Information: I've had alot going on in my family life in the last few months, loss of a young cousin, violence and alcoholism to name a few... And only recently have I decided to try to face up to these issues which I am basically trying to block out for the next few weeks to get over these exams.... which it's looking like at the minute will never happen!
I have been on anti-depressants for a few months to try and help deal with the above, but I've never been like this, I was in a state...seriously!
I suppose what I'm trying to ask is if anyone knows anything for relaxation that would help me get through these few weeks on a students budget as I am just a wreck and I don't know how much further I can go, I feel these exams are really getting to me and I don't know why!!
Any advice or help is much appreciated...

I know how you feel. Exams are tough.

Have you tried talking to anyone about all these things? It might help to get your anxieties off your chest by talking to a family member or someone you know.

You could try rescue remedy spray. It relaxes you instantly when you are nervous.

Work out a study plan if your worried about not covering your course material.

I've being going to see a councellor for the past few months to try and work through thye issues...It hasn't been eashy though...and now I'm kind of stuck in a bad place I suppose and I'm finding it extremely difficult to do anything, i've no motivation at all...I don't really know what to do about it...Went to the GP the other day and she was like talk it over with the councellor and not to brush it under the carpet like I have done with prevous issues...
I'm basically at the point where I feel my nerves are shot and I don't want to do these exams anymore...I did get rescue remedy there yesterday but I didn't feel that it worked too well for me as I was still just continiously shaking, but maybe then again the alcohol didn't help!
