Is that a gigantic pool of sewage in the top right corner with a boat on it?
Looks like the entire swan population is represented as well..and what's with the crocodile and bears?

    The tanks are still there!

(Also, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to the placement of landmarks...)

people don't walk on sewage, silly.

presume it's just meant to be an all encompassing icon to represent hare/rabbit island and/or the wrecks dotted throughout the bay...

(or is it meant to be the one on Inis Oirr?)

there's plenty of reason, so they can squish the damn thing into an A0 sized poster.

Anyone interested in doing up a more realistic version??!

We could do up a general road layout, then divide up the buildings. Just a casual project we could have running here long-term!

Anyone else want to express their inner-nerd?!

Wonder how they'll do the hidden prizes. I used to like orienteering in secondary school...

They didn't have old man Ward, Warty Nora, the wan from Buttermilk lane or Knackerdwarf in it, but I guess they're supposed to make Galway look enticing.

Oh yeah, and if anyone spots Arthur or Gil (the Herons) on it, let me know.

Oh my wrong! Just "won the whole town"... an A1 print of the poster! wohoo!!

Tip: Not all prizes seem to be available each time, hit refresh and fly your mouse over and back on the map for the red lightbulbs, then stars!

4 of them and counting! :D (assuming my slight address variations do the job, doesn't say it's limited to one per person anyway). Anyone want one?!

Might try the other cities and try get a full collection.

Just go to their profile on http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=9205855395 and play.

They ask for your name and email address so I assume they'll mail you?

What's a "ldar"? as in "I'm not saying you're a ldar but there are smarter places to be looking for clues".Could it that their Galway slang is not as sharp as it might be?

Is the poster the top prize?

    Had to laugh at:

''Sure I wouldn't know... Im from Tuam''

Is 'luveen' just a galway saying?
I'm so used to hearing it, never occured to me it might just be here only.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,568 ✭✭✭ethernet

Wasted a few minutes at this. Looks kinda funky though. Some dodgy sayings in there as well. Surely not all Galwegians actually talk like that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,971 ✭✭✭_Whimsical_

The Cork one seems a more authentic in terms of language. Also it was easier win entries to the Wii draw on it because there were 1000 more prizes left on it than on the Galway one earlier.

Has anyone won anything better than draw entries and posters?
