    Hi there,
I asked this question on the postgrad forum but with no answers so far
Would anybody know anything or have any views about this TCD
course ? Thinking of applying for it. I have a degree in applied science (maths and physics) and have a number of years experience as an enginner.
I would be concerned as to whether there are any jobs in this area in Ireland at the moment.

    Thanks,
    eoinS.

I would say the best thing you can do is pretend you have this degree right now, do a job search and see what's out there.

It is considered to be a good course, especially in the Dublin hospitals. It also includes a project module, which is valuable in terms of making connections with potential employees. However I would warn you that typically 10 people per year do this course and there certainly wouldn't be that many new jobs directly in medical physics annually. And of course there will be very few jobs in this area until the current recruitment freeze is lifted.
