I have a digital piano and connect it to my pc via usb. When i play it through sonar the sound is warped but when i play back the midi file it is fine . I was wondering if anyone knew what caused this. Its not a big problem but it is off putting when playing

I'd say the likelihood is that you have a Midi feedback loop i.e. when you hit the key the note sounds , the midi info of that key hit is going to the computer and with a slight delay, is then going back to the piano playing that same not again.

In your software there should be a setting called Midi Thru or similar.
Turn that off and I bet you're sorted ...
