Wired Controllers for Xbox 360

Does anybody know where to buy wired controllers for the xbox 360? I tried play.com thinking that they accepted Irish laser cards but it didn't work.

I need it for my laptop but don't want to have to use a wireless one. I also tried argos, xtra vision, smyth's, etc, but none of those stores stock them anymore.

Any suggestions for irish sites or the Galway city area (don't mind having to buy it directly in store) would be much appreciated as the lack of gaming isn't cool!

out of interest dude - are you intending to use an xbox 360 controller for PC games on the laptop ?.....or are you playing Xbox360 games somehow on the laptop ?
I've seen them in HMV several times.

You should just buy the charge pack that has a wired thing that you plug in to charge batt while you play as good as a wired controller

The Play and Charge kit doesn't work as a wired controller - it just charges the controller, the connection is still wireless (I use the USB port on my Sky+ box as it's closer than the Xbox).

For using a 360 controller with a computer, you can either get a wired one (like you're looking for), or get a wireless dongle. I saw the pack (dongle and wireless controller) in Harvey Normans recently for €25, but you can get the dongle on its own if you don't want a second controller.

I bought one from dealextreme at christmas http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.18436 It works out at about 16 euros and no delivery charge. Only thing is that it can take up to 3 weeks to get here but not usually. I think for that price its worth the wait.
