Anyone know which aircraft is operating EI585 on May 28th? Have booked the business class seats for my parents. Would never pay that much for myself but it is for the parents....

The EI 585 is an arriving flight from Malaga (1450) and it is a 330

Does the airlingus site not just tell you this? Thought if you clicked on the flight number the aircraft was listed? Plus, am I right in saying that there are only business class seats on the a330's and not on the a320/a321's?

Thought that about the business class seats myself. Was thinking he actually meant he pre-booked seats at the top of the aircraft (i.e. more legroom). I think they are €10 to pre-book rather than €5 for seats elsewhere on the aircraft.

During the Summer season, the EI-584 and return flight EI-585 are operated by A330 Aircraft each day. The A320/321 have no business class in them. What you are paying the extra for on the A330 is the Premier seats. Mind you its only the seats, and not the service.

I know that, I mean the actual aircraft registration.... :)

Cos I got a nice bonus this month at work and decided to do something nice for my parents. They were in the second-last row on the way out and don't want to repeat that!

Hey, wonder if anyone can give me the heads up on what plane to expect on the following flights:

    AER LINGUS EI105 non-stop - Dublin 10:30 Wed 03 Jun 2009 - New York JFK 13:00 Wed 03 Jun 2009

    AER LINGUS EI106 1 stop - New York JFK 21:40 Mon 08 Jun 2009 - Dublin 10:30 Tue 09 Jun 2009

The EI 105 is the A330, would imagine the EI 106 is the same.

    Not necessarily

EI 104 is the reciprocal of EI 105

Ei 106 is the reciprocal of EI 107.

I think they want to know the actual a/c operating ,not the type.

Am wondering whether there is any chance that I may I get one of the planes with entertainment consoles built into the rear of each seat :)

Yesterday the EIN105 was operated by EI-ORD, which is an older A330. They swap around a lot, and there was one of the new A330's (EI-DUZ) operating the other Dublin - New York flight yesterday too.

Its 50/50 that you'll get one with the AVOD PTV's (Audio video on demand, personal television)

The odds are good at the moment. EI105/4 is supposed to be an upgraded aircraft everyday from now on,instructions from on high in EI. Currently 6/8 of the A330 fleet have the new/upgraded cabin so your odds are 75% rather than 50%. In 2 weeks that will increase to 7/9 aircraft.

EI only assign individual aircraft approx 2-3 days before, with confirmation (baring technical problems) the day before the flight.

    Really appreciate the reply :)

If you hear anything over the next day or two and have a chance, would you mind posting whether it will be one of the new planes? Cheers either way though!!

    A330s to Malaga?

Where does one find the A321s nowadays? Have they been moved off from Heathrow?

Earliest A330 which arrives into Dub operates to Agp

Leaves it back in DUB in time to operate a Transatlantic flight in the afternoon.

    Common sense actually.
