getting married in portugal

hi all, recently got engaged and we're thinking about getting married somewhere along the algarve. just wondering if anyone has gotten married here or is planning and might have some advice??? we're going to alvor for 9 days in july so will check around then but would be handy to go with some places in mind!! thanks
