    Hello all,
First post for me. Im just wondering if anyone can help me out. Im looking into PR for an album release. can anyone give me some insight into this? It seems to be a bit of a mystery as to how much they charge and if they will take on bands etc?

Has anyone had experience with these pr companies and how have you found they helped with things? Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts etc.

A PR company will charge you a fortune, simple. If you dont have around 2k a month to splash out, don't go near them.

If you're looking into the likes of posters / album art etc these can all be done by going to a design company / marketing company / ad ertising company or if you know a designer (I'll plug myself here lol) you can get your things printed cheaply enough, and stick them up aroung town yourself.

Unless you're looking at a major release, you really need to do it as cheaply as possible.

You can always send the cd into the likes of Dave Fanning etc and you may get some airplay that way.

Get a website done, and have the address on every piece of marketing material you have. I can help give you some idea's if you want to take it to PM.

I'm sure others will post with suggestions for you too.
