I'm going to be spending some time down this way over the summer.
As I'm too lazy to go out and find good routes for myself, I was wondering if anybody knew of decent training rides around the area
40-80km or so, and maybe some hilly and some flat?
    Thanks!

there's a world of great rides around the Clonmel area , hilly and flat , look up map my ride website (if you can motivate yourself , that is ) . It's a lovely part of the country for cycling.

Har har. I'm not THAT lazy. Already checked the website- only a couple of rides on it, and hard to know what they're like.

Sigh. Suppose I'll have to get off my ass and check them out myself...:pac:

Just a sample of some routes in the area, I do all my cycling in the area
    1.Fast flat 100km - See the sean kelly 100 clonmel-dungarvan-carrick-clonmel
2.Hilly 80km i reckon it is possible to put all the big climbs in the sean kelly tour into one 90km route including seskin hill, powers the pot, the maw maw and mahon falls
3.Hilly 80km including the vee, climb by newcastle and powers the pot plus a few smaller hills http://http://www.bikeradar.com/road/routes/?bpath=maps%2Fbike-path%2FSouthTipNorthWaterford-Route2
4.mainly flat route away from the hills used in the suir valley 3day
    http://www.suirvalley3day.com/uploaded_images/tb_622059061Stage%201.JPG
these are just a sample probably best to give me a shout or pm me when you are down i would be happy to log a couple of extra routes on mapmyride depending on what you are looking for or even act as your guide for a couple of spins
