A few weeks ago i doubled my distance for running to 6km about 6 times a week. My ankles do tend to become quite tight when i run but a week ago i gota really sore pain just behind my ankle and running a little bit into my leg.

I havnt run since i felt the pain but it is still really tight in the area and the pain has only gotten a little bit better.

Any idea what might be causing the pain?

Are there any exericses or stretches i can do to try to improve it??

Pretty much all sports injuries are best given initial RICE.

But TBH, if you hurt yourself "a few weeks ago" and it's still sore now then you need professional medical help, not random advice of teh internet. And doubling your distance in one step is pretty much always a recipe for disaster.

This crosses the line into seeking medical advice so I'm gonna have to do the usual and close it.

Drop into your GP or a sports clinic.
