    Hello all, How does one go about getting a trailer added to their driving licence.
    Can I just apply or would I have to do another driving test with a trailer. It would be a very small trailer.:confused:

    From here:
    If you wish to have an additional category of vehicle added to your existing licence, your application is made directly to the Motor Tax Office of your local authority. Staff in your Motor Tax office will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding categories of vehicles and can advise you on the specific requirements of your application.

    This might help as well:
    Towing a Trailer
    If you hold a category B licence and wish to tow a trailer you may do so provided
    (1) the design gross vehicle weight of the trailer does not exceed the unladen weight of the drawing vehicle and the combination does not exceed 3500 kg or
    (2) the design gross vehicle weight of the trailer does not exceed 750 kg.
    If you wish to tow a heavier trailer you must hold a category EB licence.
