Well it looks like jacks eye really doesn't it. I'd say they will be back in there present timeline.

It does look like Jack's eye alright, but still doesn't say much.

The opening eye theme has obviously been popular throughout the seasons, and given the events of the finale leaving us wondering where and when the surviros have ended up, opening season 6 with someone's eye opening is actually a pretty predictable move.

It would certainly be interesting if that shot is the exact same as the opening shot from the pilot episode though.

Yeah, it's reused footage of Jack's eye opening from the pilot episode. Production of season 6 doesn't being until August. The writers don't even go back to work until July.

It's a fake. The writers / directors / producers had NOTHING to do with the making of this. They won't be revealing anything about Lost until Comic-con in July.

I believe this has been stated on here a couple of times.

It did come straight after the episode, there's just no point reading anything into it as it's reused footage. ABC did the same thing last year.

i'd say its a given that the first scene will be off all the losties on the original flight, whether the nuke changed things or not!

It's either Kate or Julliet, but I would bet €100 on Julliet, You can see fair hair..

Its actually the same eye in both pictures though, as in the same footage but the newer one is touched up. The pupil and eye colour are different but if you look closely you can see the groupings and patterns of the eyelashes are identical

Same eye. Here the 2 overlayed in photoshop. The difference in position is due to the frame that was captured not being the same in both clips.

But seriously it was pretty obvious that the two shots were identical. However I get the feeling everyone will still be debating this in 8 months time.
