LD Systems

Hi,

I was wondering does anybody know much about these speakers? Seem to be a recent entry into the market, are they any good?

Seen a package in X Music recently and they looked to be quite well built and specs look good.

Also looking to get something in this price range and 12" speakers are quite appealing to me in terms of weight and portability.

There's only a few chaps up on here who are knowledgeable about such stuff. I'm sure Savman will be along at some stage and give you the dilly on these.

I'd say you could pretty much judge the quality of these things by comparing the price of these with others though.

Oddly enough this has got me thinking since we've been making suggestions for sub forums this morning. (Logic users Ireland thread) Maybe a noise boys (live sound) sub-forum would be an interesting option? I've been making a few forays into the FOH world again recently and I've definitely got a few questions.

....for???? Speech? Heavy metal? Dance? Home stereo? Context, man!

Never heard those LD systems personally but I couldn't dare make an assumption based on the price tag....could I???

I'd be using them for speech but also rock bands playing to crowds of 300 or so.

I've found that they are made by Adam Hall who makes good hardware so build quality would be fine I'd say. I was thinking they may be near Yamaha Club series for the price but haven't much of an idea lol
